Biography                                 

Zoran Duik was born in Zagreb in 1969. He started guitar studies at the age of 6.
After graduating from tha Zagreb Academy of Music under professor Darko Petrinjak, he perfected his training at the Higher School of Music in Cologne with professor Hubert Kappel.

He took part in master classes with famous virtuosos such as M. Barrueco, D.Russel and I.Brouwer.
He wont many prizes in international music competitions, including:

In 1991        
1st prize - 6th international competition in METTMANN (Germany)
1st prize- international "andres SEGOVIA" competition in Palma de Mallorca (Spain)

In 1992        
1st prize and Spécial prize of the jury for the best  interpretation of Spanish music at the 8th international MADRID competition.

In 1993        
1st prize and Audience prize - 20th international competition in Vina  Del  Mar (Chili)

In 1994        
1st prize and Audience prize- concours international Francisco TARREGA à BENICASIM (Spain)

Doran Ducik performs on his own or with orchestra throughout Europe and in America (U.S.A., Canada, Latin america).
He also plays in chamber music ensembles et is a member of the "Cologne Trio" with whom he recorded his first CD.
