Marcin DYLLA(Poland) – 1st prize
Born on 6 June 1976, Marcin Dylla, while improving
its art with reputed masters in Poland (academy ofKatowice – Prof.
Wanda Palacz), Switzerland (academy of Basle - Prof. Oscar Ghiglia), Germany
(Freiburg– Prof. Sonja Prunnbauer), and the Netherlands (Academy
ofMaastricht – Prof. Carlo Marchione), has been taking part in many
prestigious international contests in Europe and in the USAsince 1996,
from which he won each time the first prize.
Gifted with an extraordinary technique to the service of a great musical
sensitivity, he excels in the personal adaptation of known pieces.
Pablo GARIBAY (Mexico) – 2nd
prize
Born in Mexico, Pablo Garibay started learning guitar in 1993 with professor
Iván Rísquez in Mexico City.
In 1995, he carried on his studies under the control of professor Juan
Carlos Laguna at the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM).
Recently, he stayed one more year in Germany to follow the lectures of
professor Thomas Müller-Pering in the " Hochschule für
Musik Franz Lizst " of Weimar.
He followed master classes with well known pedagogues and interpreters,
including David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, Oscar Ghiglia, Pepe Romero,
Roberto Aussel, Gerard Abiton, and Sergio Assad.
In 2000, he got a grant from the FONCA, the Mexican institution which
supports young students.
In 2003, he received "Premio Nacional of Juventud 2002" from
the president of Mexico. Pablo Garibay played as a soloist in Mexico in
prestigious concert halls, accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra of
Mexico City, conducted by JoAnn Falletta and by " Orquesta de las
Artes de Sinaloa " conducted by Gordon Cambell.
As professor and concert performer he took part in many festivals and
obtained the first, second and third prizes in prestigious international
competitions in Germany, Belgium, France, Mexico, Poland, and USA. With
a strong sensitivity, Pablo Garibay has a delicate and precise play, full
of its native Mexico colours.
Jan DEPRETER (Belgium) – 3rd prize
Santa Claus brings him his first guitar at the age of eight.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Lemmens Institute
in Leuven and the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, he studied with Zoran
Dukic at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, The Netherlands.
During his time of study he actively participated in
masterclasses with David Russell, Roberto Aussel, Oscar Ghiglia, Pavel
Steidl, Manuel Barrueco and Costas Cotsiolis amongst others.
Jan Depreter has won an incredible amount of international
prizes.

Jan Depreter has been a featured soloist in recitals
throughout Europe, North and Middle America, Asia, Africa and Oceania.
In 2006 he topped the bill at Guitar Festivals in China, Mexico, Italy
and Japan, covering four continents in one year.
He has played most major guitar concertos with international
orchestras like the Royal Philharmonic of Flanders, La Chapelle de Lorraine,
the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, the Orchestra del Ciutat de Torrent,
the Municipal Orchestra of Benicasim and the Flanders Radio Orchestra.
