Biography
Born in 1977 in Marseille, France, Rémi jousselme
started to study guitar at the Gap Conservatoire under Laurent Blanquart
with whom he won the René Bartoli Contest dedicated to young guitarists.
His musical vocation was therefore uplifted.
Consequently, he decided to broaden his knowledge of
the instrument with Gérard Abiton at the "Conservatoire d'Orléans"
and after that with Pablo Màrquez at the "conservatoire National
de région" of Strasbourg where he passed the Specialization
diploma and graduated summa cum laude.
Rémi graduated in musicology from the Aix-en-Provence
faculty of arts and holds the Guitar Teacher's State diploma.
He also attended master classes of the guitarists Eric
Franceries.
Alberto Ponce, Javier Quevedo, Manuel Barruecco, Marco
Socias, John Dearman, Laura Young and was profoundly marked by the teaching
provided by the conductors Eric Sobcyk and Pierre-Alain Biget.
Before "Printemps de la Guitare", rémi
won the first prize unanimously for the International contests "
"Forêts d'Orléans" (2000) and "Carpentras"
(2001), and was also the prizewinner of the International contest of Chain
(in 2002 in Wroclaw, poland) dedicated to contemporary music performance
where he was the only guitarist to participate.
His performance activity already gave him the opportunity
to play as a soloist or as a trainee in England, Scotland, Czech Republic,
Poland, Belgium, Germany and Spain.
