Biography

Goran LISTES, born on 20th October, 1961 in Yugoslavia, Goran listes now lives in Rome. He studied the guitar concurrently with Darko Petrinjak at zagreb Academy, and Marga Baülm at Graz Academy.

He was awarded a diploma ith distinction by both academies.

Both at home and in other countries he took part in many competitions with great success and was awarded prestigious prizes such as the first prize at the Yugoslavian young musicians Contest organised by the Igor Pogorelich Foundation; the first prize at the 15th International Festival of young musicians at Belgrade; the first prize at the Fernando Sor International festival in Rome; and the first prize at the Mauro Giuliani International festival in Bari.

When taking part in the International Festival "Printemps de la Guitare 1990" at Walcourt he gained the Queen Fabiola Medal, the first prize of the C.G.E.R. as well as the prize of the press and the SABAM prize.

He has performed as a soloist in many European countries, as well as Cuba, and he formed the Zagreb Guitar Trio in 1987.
